Our Purpose Statement

The Office of Student Support and Accountability (OSSA) centers equity, integrity, and learning in processes that emphasize the importance of working with students and the community. Our work includes student and organizational conduct, academic integrity, care and intervention, conflict resolution, medical amnesty, and medical leave and return.

Our Values

Care
Care for our MSU community is conveyed through responding with compassion, respect, and kindness while encouraging self-advocacy, self-care, and the creation of sustainable support systems.  We uphold care and support by expressing empathy and consideration for others through actions, words, and processes.

Equity
Equity recognizes the unique identities, experiences of individuals, and employs resources and opportunities to meet the needs of both individuals and communities. We work to ensure equity for individuals within our systems, processes, and communities.

Integrity
Integrity is a commitment to honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility. We hold integrity at the center of our work with students, employees, campus, community partners, and ourselves.

Learning
Learning that occurs from our experiences leads to change and  increases the positive impact of lifelong learning and engagement. We engage individuals and groups in processes that enhance learning and development for students, employees, and the campus community.
