Consistent with the fundamentals of fair play in any "judicial” process is an opportunity for those accused to be heard by their peers. Therefore, students who are accused of violating University policy may request a formal hearing before a board of their peers. Article 7 of the Student Rights and Responsibilities describes the composition and jurisdiction of all non-academic hearing boards.
The Office of Student Support & Accountability advises four (4) hearing boards that operate within the framework of the SRR. Descriptions and membership of each board is outlined in the links below. Applications remain open year-round for those interested in serving on a hearing board. Processes for nomination and appointment will follow established procedures in the Student Rights and Responsibilities and may occur at any point as vacancies exist.
